Series Description
Hosted by Captain Bill Pinkney, the first black sailor to sail around the world, 'The African Slave Trade' explains the human and economic elements of the slave trade. Captain Pinkney brings his insight as an African American returning to Africa to gain an understanding of his ancestors; life in Africa, their lives on the slave ships, conditions in the new world, and a look at how Africans today view slave trading.
