Series Description
'Electric Money' explores how the digital revolution has transformed financial activity over the last 50 years. Series host Bob Cringely tells the story of the invention of the credit card and how it evolved into the trillion dollar-a-day business it is today and explores how the electric money network was able to process credit card transactions and simultaneously transform banking into the business it is today. This series also examines how information technology has expanded futures, options, and stock trading.

The "Electric Money" web site offers activities and resources for teachers and students, including links to sites for additional information and research.
